Who I Am Not The Best Fit For:
I believe the best outcomes happen when expectations are clear from the start. While I support many children and families, my practice is not the right fit for every situation.
I’m not the best fit for:
Families currently involved in active court proceedings, including divorce-related litigation or ongoing custody disputes
Child custody, parenting capacity, or forensic evaluations, or situations requiring written reports or testimony for court
Families seeking a psychologist to advocate for one parent or caregiver over another
Situations where therapy is expected to influence legal outcomes
Therapy that is court mandated or reunification therapy
I take my role, to provide clinical, therapeutic care focused on a child’s emotional well-being, very seriously. I am not a forensic psychologist, and I want therapy to feel safe for children and families. I do not want a child (or a caregiver) to worry that what they share in session could later be used in court.
If your family is navigating legal matters, I am happy to help you understand what type of professional support may be more appropriate and, when possible, guide you toward helpful resources.
